Ouch, I think my hand is going to hurt tomorrow. But I finished a picture that I’m really proud of! So I feel lots of regret, but also triumph. Strange combination? I feel like for the rest of my life I’m going to be walking this tightrope between too much pain and not enough drawing.

Started reading The First Law by Joe Abercrombie, and was enjoying the characters so much I had to draw them.

Hi! Been a while, I hate being so busy all the time. Getting (slightly) better now, so I had time for this present for my boyfriend’s birthday. He’s a big Christopher Nolan fan, last year I did an Inception one but I think this one turned out better.

I love Brienne of Tarth in the GOT series, but I was struck again when I was reading the books that she’s only like, 22! Brienne and Samwell are probably the two characters I relate the most to in ASOIAF, as much as I wish I was as hardcore as Arya or smart as Jon.

Asha Greyjoy is one of the coolest characters in ASOIAF. I’m slightly mad they changed her name in the tv show, like someone would confuse a wildling with a Greyjoy.

Warm up sketch and I was listening to Enya and I saw Battle of the Five Armies yesterday. Elves, man, they’re crazy!

I did this more like a few days ago but it got buried in a pile of other rough drawing practice. I loved spiderman when I was a kid (and now) but I never drew him because he’s too hard for a kid to draw! So many webs and precisely placed muscles. Hasn’t really got better for

Leeloo’s fascinated by the beach on tv.

The Black Cat!! My favourite ever ever story by Edgar Allan Poe, ever since I read the version illustrated by Gris Grimsby. Vengeful ghost cat! Terrible animal cruelty and alcoholism! And, of course, insanity and murder. Everything you like about Edgar Allan Poe. I celebrate Halloween by reading scary stories because I don’t live in America,

Liz Sherman, from Hellboy (I was super disappointed by her in the movies, she’s a total badass in the comics). Been working a lot in Flash, so felt like goofing around with the lasso tool, while trying (again) to emulate Mike Mignola’s style. So fun.
