As I said I would, I did another picture. This took me a while because I wanted to finish it before Mermay, then didn’t then gave up on it, tried again, gave up again and was just going to upload it unfinished then I had one last burst of motivation. I’m pretty happy I did,

Ouch, I think my hand is going to hurt tomorrow. But I finished a picture that I’m really proud of! So I feel lots of regret, but also triumph. Strange combination? I feel like for the rest of my life I’m going to be walking this tightrope between too much pain and not enough drawing.

I’m back! I’m just back from a holiday, which always makes me reassess my life a bit, and I’m trying to make some improvements. I realised this blog was one of my better habits that fell by the wayside, and I want to make more time for it. I don’t have much art to show

Went to Paris, and drew some stuff! Most of these were just waiting in lines: going up Notre Dame, sitting at the airport, etc… And then a little sketching when I got home.

Went crazy with some patterns and hands. I like how this one turned out, I’d like to neaten it up on the computer or something later. Also used up two of the cards I’ve been hoarding for no reason, happy I did that. Surface wasn’t awesome for watercolours though, might try the gouache next time.

Been a bit slack, again. Starting a full time job an hour and a half away really sucks away the time, but I have been doing arts and junk, just posting it on instagram. Here’s an update, part 1! Did a lot of small sketches mostly on the train, which I didn’t think were worth
