Finally made a proper b+w turnaround for my main character. Sort of. She’s so sullen, haha. This will make it much easier to figure out the colours though, and doing turnarounds is like my favourite thing to do ever. I also still don’t know what to call this project, so far it’s in a file

Character/mood/environment experiment for my film project, and for once I actually finished a painting and don’t hate it! I know that sound dramatic, but it’s so easy for me to get bogged down doing something like this, and I often get distracted or lay the foundation wrong or lose hope. That’s why I do so

Having a whole of lot fun with the watercolour pencils. Another old scan.

Another scan; this one I did over a month ago, just felt like playing around with my coloured pencils and decided that anatomy, perspective, reference and composition where unimportant. It was fun! Colours are still a bit weird though, bummer.

New colour scheme for this character, one I’m much happier with. Also playing around with glowy magic thingies but I didn’t want it to look too cliche, I’ll probably be messing around with that a little more.

Redesigning the poncho girl, didn’t like the poncho so there we go. I don’t like this colour scheme, but I like how the rest of it is going. I haven’t properly figured out the story for the film she’s for, but I know there’s going to be a grandma character and possibly a goat. Magic

Trying to keep practicing, turned into weird undead child. Think I need to try out different light sources or subjects or something. Hey by the way, did you know I’m in Germany now? It’s cold, but no vampires, so it’s cool.
